Dr Hirides is a Laparoscopic General Surgeon and the first Greek-Cypriot to be trained to the da Vinci robotic system. He performs most of the procedures of General Surgery including thyroid surgery, breast surgery, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, adhesiolysis, inguinal (TEP) and ventral hernia surgery, gastric, splenic, colorectal and perianal surgery (hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, pilonidal disease). He has dermatosurgical equipment (radiofrequency ablation device), for resection of nevi and other skin lesions, including biopsies, which can be performed at his office in the center of Athens (Kolonaki), under local anesthesia. He speaks English fluently, but he can also communicate in French, German and Czech languages.
